L.A. Sweeney is a Toronto born Actor and Writer. Her screen debut was in the feature film Last Resort (2022) for which she received a ‘Best Lead Actress’ nomination. L.A. boasts a growing TV/Film resume which includes credits in Apple+'s Being Huemann (Directed by Academy Award Winner Sian Heder), CTV’s Shelved(2023), Amazon’s Cross(2024) and Lifetime’s Taken at a Basketball Game(2025). L.A. has both written for the stage as well as performed in a growing list of productions including George F. Walkers, Girls Unwanted (2024). She is an International Monologue Slam champion, having won in both Toronto and New York.
